Xenofon Kontouris

Founder and CEO

Xenofon Kontouris is a policy advocate, entrepreneur and tokenomics enthusiast focused on Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs), Decentralized Finance (DeFi), Decentralized Science (DeSci), Pop-up Cities, Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and European Crypto-Asset Policy. He holds an MSc on Digital Currencies from the University of Nicosia, and a dual BA on Economics and Political Science from Beloit College in the United States.


Xenofon is the founder of ZuCasa, a web2 native accommodation protocol, and Athens Labs, a Venture Studio focused on Crypto Assets, and ZuForever, a crypto-native accommodation offering for web3 conferences. He is also a steward of BiohackerDAO.

​Outside of his ​entrepreneurial endeavors, Xenofon is part of the Executive Team of the International Association of Trusted Blockchain Applications (INATBA) - The Premier Association on Blockchain and Policy in Europe and the United Arab Emirates. Within INATBA, Xenofon supports the Finance WG on the production of their policy outputs and regulator engagements.


Xenofon has been active in startups, blockchain and cryptoassets since 2013. His career has spanned across the United States, Europe and Asia.
