Ramos Strzygowski
Promotor of Food Forests, connecting intelligent lifesystems
After education in Design&Art, Mechanical Engineering/Theatre Technology and Computer Science and longer professional activity in each of these fields, I met Permaculture and dedicated my life to give food forests (forest gardens in agricultural size) a wider audience in the world. They reestablish biodiversity, reconnect us as humans to the network of nature and have great social benefits (cooling the climate, preventing erosion, building up humus, etc.). I initiated and organised a pilot project of a 3-hectare food forest near Berlin with the aim to show that regenerative agriculture is viable as an agricultural method in ecological and economical realm.
Additionally i published the ecological and economic structure of that system, initiated and organised the first conference for food forest systems in Germany, support the network of active foodforesters, and try fostering agricultural food production in compliance with nature, for the good of our children and grandchildren (of which I have 2 and 3 luckyly).
