Lucy Ward

Nature Governance Strategy and Operations, Scientist, Communicator

Lucy co-leads the Strategy, Operations and Planning on the Nature Governance team at the Earth Law Center, where she executes the design and implementation of Nature Governance principles and practices; management and coordination of the wildflower team; visualisation, creation and management of NGA projects and the development of work and vision for water affinity.

Lucy is an Earth law advocate, marine biologist and keen ocean advocate. Her background features scientific training, as well leading a legal research team at Exeter University. Lucy also forwards the Earth Law Centers work by contributing to education on Earth law topics, facilitating the running of the Centers summer course and creation of Earth law modules in the UK. Her work also focuses on on-the-ground solutions, through IntelliReefs, where she forwards the application of the proprietary reef building material Oceanite, and its multitude of uses in habitat restoration.

Her work is inherently driven by her passion for the oceans. Lucy works to develop innovative solutions for how to align and incorporate the flow of knowledge into active restoration, legal advancements, cultural evolution and decision making in the business world.
