FAQ'S FOR FAMILIES
-
How will participants collaborate during the event? Each participant will be part of both a Focus Group (based on expertise) and a Multidisciplinary Group (combining diverse perspectives). These groups will meet online before the event to prepare and will continue in-person at the event to contribute to the overall framework.
-
What outputs will the event produce? The event will produce a written framework, simulations, and potentially a game to guide the development of regenerative, self-sustaining habitations within bioregions. These outputs are collectively owned by the co-op formed of participants during the event and will be distributed as creative commons copy left.
-
What type of accommodations are available?Participants can choose from new on-site Pod suites, camping, dorms, RV's or glamping options. Accommodations will be charged separately from event ticket depending on your preference.
-
Can I stay off-site?The short answer is yes you can stay offsite. That could be your own home, a hotel, an AirBnB, whatever works for you. We are working on partnering with local hotels and will have details before tickets are available. But, we encourage you to consider staying onsite, even if it is moderately rustic. There is something magical that happens when people live and work and play together. It forms a deeper community bond and experience. The potential for synergy increases. We will have security at the entrance and you will be required to show your Masterminding EDEN passport for admission every time you come onsite. These are individually validated via blockchain and are non-transferable. Is the ticket price reduced for those who stay offsite? The event ticket itself remains the same, accommodation is booked separately.

-

-
Who owns the outputs from the event? The outputs from the Masterminding EDEN event are collective contributions created through the collaboration of participants. These outputs are managed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA) license for creative content, and under open-source licenses like GNU GPL for software. This means: Shared Ownership: The collective outputs are owned by the cooperative and remain freely accessible to all of humanity, aligning with the copy-left principles. Any adaptations or derivatives of these outputs must also remain open and shared under the same or compatible terms. Individual Contributions: You retain full ownership of any pre-existing intellectual property (IP) or ideas brought into the event. Only the parts of your work that you explicitly contribute to the event’s Deliverables become part of the shared outputs. Cooperative Use: The outputs may also serve as the foundation for saleable products by the planned Masterminding EDEN Cooperative, helping to fund future projects while keeping the outputs accessible for non-commercial and educational use. Reserved Cooperative Shares: As a participant, you will have a reserved membership share in the cooperative. If you choose to join the cooperative upon its establishment, this share will provide you with a stake in the cooperative’s ownership and governance, allowing you to benefit from its long-term success. Opportunities for Additional Investment: Beyond the reserved membership share, there may be opportunities for participants and external supporters to invest financially in the cooperative. This could include funding for infrastructure, regenerative businesses, or specific projects aligned with the cooperative’s mission. Investments may provide additional returns or benefits, depending on the cooperative’s governance model and financial structure. By participating, you agree to license your contributions to the Workshop under these terms. If you have concerns about how this applies to your specific contributions, we recommend consulting your legal counsel. Click here to view our participation agreement.
