Eruera Rarere-Witlon
Cultural Consultant | Kaihaka Collective
Indigenous Wisdom Keepers & Spiritual Teachers
Eruera is a proud Māori leader, cultural advocate, and practitioner of regenerative Indigenous knowledge systems. With whakapapa connections to Ngāti Maru through his father and Ngāti Whātua, Raukawa, and Tainui through his mother, Eruera brings a deep ancestral commitment to cultural preservation, environmental stewardship, and sustainable living. Through the Kaihaka Collective and his work with a Māori cultural group, he actively teaches and upholds customary Māori practices that foster communal resilience and ecological harmony.
Eruera plays a key role in advocating for the integration of Māori values into local and central government initiatives, ensuring Indigenous voices are embedded in decision-making that impacts both people and whenua (land). Alongside his wife, Oriana Rarere-Wilton of Rongomaiwahine descent—who works to secure funding and enhance the resilience of Māori settlements—he supports initiatives that maintain warm, safe, and culturally vibrant community spaces across Aotearoa.
Rooted in Māori traditions such as maramataka (the lunar calendar), rongoā Māori (natural medicine), and papakāinga(ancestral communal living), Eruera offers a powerful Indigenous lens to the co-creation of regenerative, high-tech, land-connected cities. At Masterminding EDEN, he brings intergenerational wisdom and cultural insight to help shape resilient, inclusive, and future-focused systems grounded in harmony with the natural world.
