Shawn Anderson

Shawn is a passionate computer scientist and founder of multiple companies and DAOs in web3, AI, and regenerative industry with a focus on relational economics and bioregionalism.

Shawn founded Longtail Financial, a web3 consulting firm in 2018 with the mission to develop a financial engine for the commons. In 2021 Shawn became a core contributor to The Token Engineering Commons DAO, launching novel economic and democratic on-chain mechanisms, raising over $1,000,000 to fund token engineering public goods research and infrastructure. In 2023 Shawn co-founded the Bonding Curve Research Group, a decentralized research group focused on how bonding curves enable financial primitives such as decentralized exchanges and collateralized currency issuance.

In 2024 Shawn co-founded Kwaxala, an Indigenous majority owned forest conservation company that converts logging licenses into living licenses using novel land use agreements being piloted with First Nations and government partnerships in Canada. In 2025 Shawn co-founded Symbiocene Labs, a company that develops autonomous AI agents that process and communicate environmental data, resulting in the Regen AI partnership with Regen Network. Shawn was also a core organizer of the 2025 Cascadia Bioregional Financing conference in Seattle in close collaboration with Regenerate Cascadia.
