I am a U.S. Army veteran and former FEMA Lead Disaster Assistance Loan Officer [Northridge Earthquake] who had a successful 25-year career in commercial banking before transitioning to climate risk & sustainability advisory services. As the Climate Risk Qualitative Lead for U.S. Bank [5th largest bank in America], I wrote the Climate Risk Management Framework which established the strategic approach to reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for a $650B bank. In September 2022, I established Climate Changes Everything, LLC, an Oregon based consulting firm providing climate risk mitigation and adaptation advisory services to state & county governments and agencies and private corporations. One of my current consulting projects is the development of the Price Gap Agreement, an innovative financial instrument designed to provide sustainable, affordable single-family homes in the United States.

In December 2022, Atmosphere Press published by book of commentaries, "Onward, At Last" that examines the root cause of the poly-crisis: the myth of separation, and utilizes our shared humanity and shared experiences to make the case that we are members of one living family who can meet the challenges of the poly-crisis if we remember who we are. In October 2024, Atmosphere Press released the "2024 Presidential Election Edition of Onward, At Last", which won the 2025 Bronze IPPY for Best Adult Nonfiction ebook.
