Brian McConnell

Brian has worked extensively with the foundations of Integral thought and theory—primarily in the fields of education and psychology—since first encountering Ken Wilber’s Eye to Eye in 1997. His reflective practice has been deeply shaped by personal study in Theravada Buddhism under Thanissaro Bhikkhu at Metta Forest Monastery.

Over the past two decades, Brian has engaged with a wide range of popular subcultures, centering his current efforts around consciousness, learning, leadership, governance, and economics. As the Founding Director of a 501(c)(6) organization in southwest Virginia, he applies his deep experience in "learning systems" to support educational institutions and community-based organizations.

His specialties include academic analysis, writing and documentation, interpersonal communication, systems design and development, and the practical application of Integral theory.
