Bernard Myburgh
All round Filmmaker, Web designer, Permaculturist, Large scale composter and tiny house developer
I am a professional filmmaker and web designer with over a decade of experience, having collaborated on multiple crypto startups and helped establish a successful asset management platform that raised $40 million in 2017. When the venture collapsed in 2022 due to leadership issues and the broader market turmoil (including the Terra Luna and Celsius crashes), it prompted a profound shift in my understanding of value—away from pure capital gains and toward tangible, regenerative impact.
For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to designing and cultivating built environments that serve life. This passion led me to earn my Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) from Geoff Lawton in South Africa and to launch The Maslow Initiative. We developed a large-scale composting system capable of accelerating the composting process to just 20 days, and we created a modular tiny-house model (including an efficient compost toilet) that can be scaled in a factory setting. Through these innovations, my goal is to pioneer regenerative land development in South Africa, establishing a property portfolio that produces multi-generational value, fosters thriving ecosystems, and delivers profitable yet sustainable returns.
